Pricing accessorials on a Rate Card

Accessorials are the charges that go alongside the freight itself. A Rate Card can carry your prices for them, so a partner quoting your lanes quotes the whole cost rather than pricing the extras separately.

Accessorials are a step in the Rate Card wizard, between your fees and the review. A new Rate Card starts with accessorials switched on and nothing selected.

Select the services you offer

The step opens on Select accessorials, with the prompt to check every service you are able to offer on this card.

  1. Use the Search services... box to find a service, or browse the categories.
  2. Tick each service you offer.

The catalog is grouped by category, and some services are scoped to a part of the move, such as a charge that applies at pickup.

Set your prices

Each service you tick appears under Set prices and is marked Needs price until you have priced it. Choose one of two pricing shapes per service:

  • Flat — a single charge. Enter the flat rate and its currency.
  • Per unit — a rate multiplied by a quantity. Enter the rate per unit, the unit, and a minimum charge.

Both shapes offer an optional maximum. Switch Set a maximum charge on to cap what the accessorial can bill; leave it on No maximum charge for no cap.

Click Save and Continue when every selected service is priced.

Checking accessorials before you publish

Accessorials appear in two more places once priced:

  • On the Summary view, in their own section alongside your rates, with a comparison against an earlier submission.
  • On the wizard's review step, so you can check them as part of the last look before sharing.

Disabling accessorials on a card

The step has a Disable accessorials option. Ticking it excludes accessorial charges from every rate on the card.

Warning: Disabling accessorials changes how the card is billed. Connect shows this notice when the box is ticked: "Accessorials disabled. These charges are now excluded from all rates. Make sure your Exfresso pricing agreement is in place — otherwise fees may be missed at billing."

Only disable accessorials on a card where the charges are handled through a separate agreement.
