Sharing a Rate Card with a markup

You can share one Rate Card with several partners and charge each of them a different price, without maintaining a separate marked-up copy of the card.

The rates you enter on the card are your cost. The markup is what you add on top for a particular partner, and the total is the price that partner sees.

Setting a markup when you share

  1. Open the Rate Card and go to the Shares tab.
  2. Click Share with Partners.
  3. Pick the connected Forwarders you want to share with.
  4. For each partner you pick, enter a percentage in Markup over cost. Leave it empty to share the card at cost.
  5. Tick the acknowledgment checkbox and share.

Each partner gets their own percentage. Sharing the same card with three Forwarders at three different markups is one card and three shares.

Reading the Shares tab

The Shares tab lists every partner the card has gone to. Each row shows what that partner is priced at:

  • At cost — no markup was set for them.
  • A percentage over your cost — the markup that applies to them.

A row marked Edits not yet shared means the card has changed since that partner received their copy.

Changing a markup

A markup travels with a share, so changing it means resharing.

  1. On the Shares tab, open the row's action menu.
  2. Choose Change markup & reshare.
  3. Enter the new percentage and reshare.

The partner prices against their existing copy until they publish the new one.

Cost wording across the card

When markups are in use, the Rate Card's own fields and the Fee Calculator describe what you enter as your cost rather than as a price. The door fee upload says the same thing: every rate in the CSV is your cost, and each partner is priced at that amount plus the markup you set for them.

This is a change in wording, not in what you enter. The figures on the card are the same figures.
